Our beloved teacher, Joanna Macy

As many of you know, our beloved teacher, guide and friend, Joanna Macy, is presently in transition for the great journey.

We invite you to tune into the gratitude you feel, that Joanna is in your life… how she has touched you, how she has changed your life…

Please join the planet wide community of those walking in her footsteps, by sending Joanna your love, light and prayers. Join us in group prayers held around the world each day at 8.30pm in Great Britain, or 21h in Europe.

You can get news of Joanna’s health via Caring Bridge

To Joanna

Joanna, our teacher, our guide, our friend
You are the World’s Lover,
Life’s precious gift

Our souls, woven by the breath of Life,
go forth, guided brightly,
in your footsteps we walk in your light.

You, who learnt to listen to Creation,
to all beings, timeless myriads of life forms
So, to give them Voice

My heart overflows thanking you
for lighting my path,
teaching me to listen and calling me to serve:
For handing me my destiny

Divine Mother you are, Joanna,
What Grace, Joanna, what Grace.

With all my love,
Claire.

What to bring to the workshop:

► Waterproofs and sun protection: Rain gear and a change of clothes. Walking shoes. Brittany can be unpredictable. Cool nights and showers are possible, as is the hot sun!

► Comfort: We will often sit in a circle on the floor, outside or in the yurt. Bring something comfortable to sit or lie on.

► Your camping equipment: A tent, groundsheet, sleeping bag, sheet and pillowcase may be useful. Torch, water bottle. There are dry toilets on site, a shower in the main building. If you have a solar camp shower, this is a good opportunity to bring it along!

► We can lend you equipment - If you are travelling without a car and need to be lent any equipment, (tent, blanket, cushion etc) please let us know by 15th July.

► If you are prone to ticks: We recommend a bottle of oil (rapeseed or olive) with garlic macerated in it. Clove essential oil (repellent) and tea tree essential oil (disinfectant).

► Everything you need to present your projects: Whether they are professional, activist or other, we will offer you the opportunity to share them. Bring whatever materials you want - flyers, documents, publications, etc., this is a space for telling us about them!

Celebrate creativity! If you play an instrument, or have poems to share, games, or other fun activities, bring them along... We’re here together for that too!

► Payment: If you pay in euros (455) you can do a transfer to Roseaux Dansants’ bank. If you prefer to pay in pounds, please bring cash (385) as Roseaux’s account is in France.

► Icing on the cake! Dancing Reeds is caretaker of a little strip of wildlife-rich land by an unspoilt Breton beach, on the North coast. After the workshop, we go there to rest, play, eat and celebrate! There are tents for guests (no charge). All are welcome to come and hang out.
